These are really adorable and great for summer. You can actually use any theme you'd like. I chose these colors because I wear a lot of tie dye and colorful clothing... And for me, there is no better design than Peace.

All of the patches were found at Purple Moon. The laces were at various websites. Just Google your key word, (peace, butterflies, daisy, etc) followed by the word, laces. There are many possibilities. (Peace being the best, of course).

This is another version I did. I used two 3 foot lengths of ribbon rather than laces. The shoes had top straps that were cut and made into loops for the ribbon to lace through.. Each ribbon is 3 feet long.

Instructions:

There really are no need for instructions if you can glue something and lace a shoe. Just follow the instructions on the back of the fabric glue for amount to use and drying time.

Tips:
* Be sure your shoes fit before beginning. Grin!

* It helps to find something that will fit into your shoe at the toe that will make it flat when placing the patch and allowing it to dry. (I used a pair of rolled socks and a compact mirror on top of them).

* Black canvas shoes are also great for this project.

* If you want a bag to match, consider a canvas tote bag from:
Dharma Trading.

I'm committed to speaking up for peace. I've learned from my experience with The Peace Art Site, that you can sometimes speak up without saying a word. When peace is visual, the beholder can't help but think of peace.... And no matter how brief those thoughts are, it's better than no thought of peace. Who knows, those thoughts just may become the thousand words that a picture says.
